Man at Port St. Lucie Mets game struck by baseball, hospitalized

PORT ST. LUCIE — A man at a Mets game ended up in the hospital after a baseball struck him in the face.

St. Lucie County Fire District crews assigned to the Mets Stadium on Sunday were able to respond to the man immediately, according to district spokeswoman Catherine Chaney. The man, described to be in his 20s, was taken to a local hospital for treatment after the 5 p.m. incident.
