Five stabbed in fight outside football game

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office now says that five teenage girls were stabbed by a teenage girl during the melee after a football game at Martin County High School.

None of the injuries are considered life threatening. Deputies are still looking for the girl wanted in connection with the stabbings.

The sheriff’s office says one person was Tasered by a sheriff’s deputy, one person was bitten by a police dog and one woman was arrested in the series of unrelated fights that involved about 30 people outside at the school, sheriff’s deputies said. (more…)

Man in Newport Isle stabbed; stepson charged

PORT ST. LUCIE — Police arrested a teen on charges of stabbing his stepfather on Tuesday.

When police arrived shortly after 1 p.m. at the Newport Isle community, they saw 48-year-old David Aiken lying face down in the doorway leading to his home in the 2900 block of Southwest Cedar Dunes Drive, according to a police report.

He was yelling for help and repeated, “My son stabbed me,” police said.
