Christopher Attanasio

A pastor at a halfway house associated with The Crossings Church told sheriff’s deputies that Christopher Attanasio, 41, left the facility at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, leaving behind a note that read, “I’ll be back in a while.”

When he didn’t show up by about 10 p.m., the pastor became concerned and checked the man’s bedroom where he found a suicide note.

Dated April 14, the note said Attanasio did not want to live any more and he hoped God would forgive him, according to a sheriff’s report.

Attanasio was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, white t-shirt, blue shorts and a black baseball cap, deputies said.
