Port St. Lucie resident Eric Anderson, 22, faces felony charges of grand theft and scheming to coming fraud after his arrest on Tuesday.

According to a police report, an audit of the store on Ocean Boulevard revealed that someone had been inflating the store’s credit card sales in the accounting records. The activity allowed the suspect to balance out cash that had been removed from the register, the report states.

The modifications had been happening since June 2008 and more than $24,000 was missing, police said.

FORT PIERCE — Two men are suspected of trying to break in to a Fort Pierce Dunkin’ Donuts, according to arrest affidavit released Sunday by the Fort Pierce Police Department.

The report does not say whether the men were attempting to steal cash or doughnuts from the store at 920 U.S. 1.

Eric Demond Donley, 35, of the 1100 block of 32nd Avenue in Vero Beach, and Rony Harold Jeudy, 19, of the 1100 block of South U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, were arrested on charges of burglary, property damage and criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence on Friday. (more…)

STUART — Martin County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the Sunday night robbery of a Stuart Dunkin’ Donuts.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, deputies received a call from the store at 6001 S.E. U.S. 1, where employees reported they had been robbed by a man armed with a knife.

One worker told investigators she was “spooked” when she had gone to the back of the store to get supplies and found the man crouching down on the floor. (more…)
