Indian River County man doesn’t have to pay $3.5 million for viewing child porn

Port St. Lucie man gets 15 years in prison for downloading more than 500,000 child porn images

FORT PIERCE — A Port St. Lucie man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for collecting and trading more than half a million images of child pornography over the Internet, some involving children as young as infants.

Jason David Bingham, 23, was detected in February after German authorities traced sexually explicit photos of children to his computer in Port St. Lucie.

Federal officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigated and seized Bingham’s computer, which was found to contain 577,943 images of child pornography plus several explicit videos.

Statewide sting nets 77 cybercrime arrests

A statewide cyber sting revealed Tuesday netted dozens of arrests of men who trolled the Internet for child pornography.

The 77 arrests round out a 10-week statewide effort involving 23 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies targeting some of the worst cybercrime offenders.

Included in the list of those facing charges are: Boynton Beach residents Timothy J. Elliott, 21, and Eric C. Super, 31; Martin County resident Timothy D. Orman, 46; and St. Lucie County resident Graham D. Widmann, 26.

All four were arrested on charges of child pornography possession, according to the Florida Attorney General’s Office.

PORT ST. LUCIE — A man was arrested on a child pornography charge after authorities found movies depicting young children on his computer hard drives.

Graham D. Widmann was booked into the St. Lucie County jail last week and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A Martin County Sheriff’s detective conducting an online investigation found that someone in Widmann’s home in the 100 block of Celestia Court had downloaded child pornography.

When questioned last month by St. Lucie County Sheriff’s investigators, Widmann, 26, admitted to downloading the movies and storing them in computer hard drives, according to a sheriff’s report.

Widmann faces a felony charge of possessing at least 10 images of child pornography.

STUART — A Palm City man was arrested on 10 counts of child pornography after sheriff’s deputies found several videos depicting children having sex on his computer, according to court records.

Martin County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin J. Freed, 20, after investigators checking the Internet found that he had downloaded pornographic videos involving children onto his computer, a complaint affidavit states.

When deputies showed up on Friday at his Palm City house in the 9800 block of Southwest Santa Monica Drive, Freed told them he had pornographic movies on his computer but wasn’t sure whether any involved children.

According to investigators, they found multiple videos depicting children.

Freed is being held at the Martin County jail on $100,000 bail on child pornography possession charges.

JENSEN BEACH — A Martin County registered sex offender was arrested today on charges of child pornography possession.

Jensen Beach resident Tim Orman was arrested at his home by officers with the state Attorney General’s cybercrime unit, the FBI and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release from the attorney general’s office, Orman’s possession of child pornography was discovered when cybercrime investigators located images of child pornography during a routine undercover investigation and traced the images back to Orman’s computer.
