On Wednesday, Nathaniel P. Reed, former Assistant Secretary of the Interior in the Nixon and Ford administrations and Florida’s most eloquent conservationist, jumped off the fence and into the fray: He supports Amendment 4, the Hometown Democracy amendment.

Sally says loosening controls on the county’s future growth could make a mockery of the Stuart-Martin Chamber of Commerce’s “Enjoy our good nature” slogan.
