PORT ST. LUCIE — A Port St. Lucie truck driver is behind bars after a cellphone store employee found child pornography on his phone, a Port St. Lucie Police Department arrest affidavit states.

Ronald Lewandowski, 57, of the 3400 block of Southwest Europe Street, was charged with felony possession of or promotion of certain image of child pornography.

On Monday police responded to the Verizon Wireless store at 1689 N.W. St. Lucie Boulevard, after a manager called them after finding images of a young girl engaging in sex acts with a man that was not Lewandowski, the report states.

The employee was attempting to transfer pictures from Lewandowski’s old cellphone to a new one.

Lewandowski told police he received the image from a person he met on an Internet chat site.

Also, Lewandowski told police he had a laptop computer with links to sites of children in nude poses.

As of Tuesday Lewandowski was being held at the St. Lucie County Jail on $50,000 bail.
