JENSEN BEACH — A Total Wine & More will occupy the former Circuit City store at the Vista Plaza in Jensen Beach this fall, executives leasing the property said Tuesday.

Dawn Hendershot, director of investor relations and corporate communications for Michigan-based Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust, which owns the Vista Plaza property at 2550 U.S. 1 in Jensen Beach, said the 20,000-square-foot wine superstore has a planned opening date of Nov. 1.

Executives with Total Wine & More did not return calls Tuesday.

Total Wine & More is an independent superstore with 14 other locations in Florida. The company’s closest location to the Treasure Coast is in Palm Beach Gardens. According to its website, each store “carries a selection of more than 8,000 different wines from every wine-producing region in the world.”

The company’s website said stores also carry 2,000 types of spirits and 1,000 beers in addition to wine accessories, cigars and other gift items.

The Vista Plaza in Jensen Beach was built in 1998 and is anchored by a Bed Bath & Beyond, arts and crafts store Michaels and a Steak ‘n Shake.

The Circuit City locations in Jensen Beach and Port St. Lucie closed in early 2009 after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2008. The Vero Beach Circuit City store closed in December 2008 and remains empty. In July 2009, Jetson TV & Appliance took over Circuit City’s former location at 1763 N.W. St. Lucie West Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.

Wine cabinets can be produced coming from a wide variety of resources so you must pick the materials that best goes with the style sensibility of your residence. If you have a lot of wood along with antique furniture in your household then a smooth stainless steel cabinet will definitely look out of position as well as the same goes for a timber cabinet in an ultra-modern household.
