Group to bring oversized photos of abortions to main PSL intersection
March 10th, 2010 by TCPalm.comPORT ST. LUCIE — The Personhood anti-abortion organization has announced it will bring its Personhood FL Spring Break Tour 2010 to the Treasure Coast.
The tour, coming to Port St. Lucie March 16, includes “two ‘truth trucks’ with large signs of born, preborn, and aborted babies along with 45 pro-lifers with large signs of born, pre-born, and aborted babies,” the group said in a news release.
The protest is planned for the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and Port St. Lucie Boulevard, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The tour started Tuesday in Panama City Beach and is headed to Tallahassee, Gainesville, Ocala, Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm, Port St. Lucie, Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Jacksonville.

The group plans to distribute 30,000 constitutional amendment petitions seeking to challenge the constitutionality of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortions.
“Our goal is to gather 676,811 petition signatures from registered Floridian voters by February 1, 2012 to enable Florida voters the right to vote in the General Election of 2012 for the Personhood Amendment so that all Floridians are protected from the moment of biological beginning to natural death,’’ the group said in a news release. “Citizens can download, print, and distribute the Florida Personhood Amendment at the Personhood FL Web site. http://personhoodfl.com/resource-kits/.”
One of the organizers is Pastor Bryan Longworth, director of Personhood FL and associate pastor of Covenant Tabernacle in Port St. Lucie, according to the news release.

When do the baby girls (boys too!) in the womb get to choose?
When do we stop killing off our potentially disabled children for the crime of being predicted as “non perfect” fetuses?
I’m a woman too Misty. There are lots of thing as a woman I can do with my body. But my liberties end when there is another potential person growing inside of me. You see, she is worthy of her rights as a future woman too.
Don’t kill your unborn children, ladies. Bear them to life outside your womb, and then relinquish your rights to them, if that is your choice.
Then you, and the child, lives on. Just like all the pre-term and near-term preemies delivered. Isn’t it amazing how science and technology has made these little lives viable at earlier and earlier ages?
One day in America, there won’t be a need for any more abortions. Once we value the true commodity of life, all lives.
I predict you’ll see less women turning up in garbage bags in So Fla in those days too. It’s a slippery slope when you go devaluing life like that…

The US Supreme Court opted to leave decisions regarding what is and what is not pornography to the local jurisdictions that encounter such material.
The “display of large signs of born, preborn, and aborted babies” is pornography. The purveyors of such vulgar material should be arrested, the material should be seized, and the whole organization should be banned from returning to the county until such time as a higher jurisdiction orders to do otherwise. Pornographers such as these have their own abusive agenda and as such should not be tolerated in civil society regardless of the “issue” they tout.

It seems that people in general have to way their beliefs and moral thoughts upon a person or persons due to the fact it is different in spirit, thought,and one owns beliefs? …my question is who are we to judge! who said that we can force one owns thoughts and beliefs upon others? Religion ?politics If based on these issues then who are we too JUDGE? If you have a god of any level he or she has the only right to judge as it says period not us because we are as they say sinners..period! And if we judge wrong it used to be called blasphemy…I ponder some folks on how and when they became more righteous then ones own beliefs!

If someone choses to remove a fetus from their body and someone else wants it then fine, let them have it. Would it have been easier on the woman, from a medical standpoint, to have had birth control made available to them? Almost without a doubt. Was it made available and affordable? Who knows. Things happen. If the woman doesn’t want to be pregnant then she should not be condemned to that fate. No one else should be allowed to make that decision for her. No one. Are all of these anti-abortionists adopting all of the unwanted kids out there? Nope, they aren’t around when the rubber hits the road. It’s always easier to just speak out but not to actually walk the walk.
