A deputy noticed a silver Buick about 6:20 p.m. driving slowly on Maravilla Boulevard. The deputy tried to make contact with the driver, Geneus, who fled and jumped out of the moving vehicle on the north side of Edwards Road.

Geneus was caught, and a cigar tube with about 50 crack rocks was found in the vehicle.

Geneus, of the 300 block of North 18th Street, was arrested and taken to jail.
