Two charged with running meth lab in Vero Beach home

October 22nd, 2009 by TCPalm.com

VERO BEACH — Two people were taken into custody Tuesday morning after law enforcement officials raided a house suspected of being a methamphetamine lab.

The Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement Unit had been investigating the home for about a month and conducted some undercover purchases at the home in the 1300 block of 30th Avenue, Vero Beach, Indian River County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Jeff Luther said.

“The evidence inside the home indicated an operation to cook meth for personal use, but we monitored a large amount of traffic to the home,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Darin Jones.

Two residents of the home, Scott MacIntyre, 37, and Kelly Tyndall, 30, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful possession of listed chemicals.

Investigators said Tuesday afternoon they were still trying to determine how much methamphetamine was being manufactured there, Luther said. Federal authorities are also investigating, Jones said.

The home is on a one-acre lot in an older part of the Vero Beach area, Luther said.

FINALLY! PB Post; please keep stories coming like this. I’m glad to see authority efforts are finally focused on the dangerous drugs, and NOT the leafy weeds. They just need to leave the GROW HOUSES ALONE! (…it’s just not worth it anymore… hint hint!)

  2. WPB Says:

    i agree with Simon 100%

    VOTE FOR SIMON ! ! !

  3. THE TRUTH Says:

THIS IS VERY VERY TRUE, I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WHO SMOKE WEED AND THEY ARE GREAT HARDWORKING PEOPLE… FOCUS MORE ON THE REALLY BAD DRUGS THAT ARE OFTEN KILLING GOOD HUMAN BEINGS BECAUSE THEY GET CAUGHT UP IN THE WRATH OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO MANUFACTURE ALL THOSE DRUGS… GO SIMON GO!!!!

  4. Drinking and Smoking Says:

Meth rules. Weed is more dangerous than driving drunk because it makes you laugh and the libs hate that!!

  5. Lady With A Kid Says:

So what is going to happen to this house now?? Will it be destroyed or decontaminated? ..Or auctioned off in a year to a new family thinking they got a killer deal??? No pun intended…. http://www.nometh.org/community.html

  6. Citizen X Says:

The house will be listed as contaminated by the DEP and it will be razed and removed. The soil may even have to be removed that the house is seated upon.

    “Sorry Simon” (Simon Says):

I don’t agree with you (my opinion).
Weed is considered a natural “leaf”, however the natural leaf is not, in too many cases natural. It becomes “Tainted” - magically (evolution)!!!! AND besides, is NOT legal.

Analogy-Alcohol is legal and regulated. It can become “Tainted”, if something (poison?) is dropped in the glass. Same idea.

Until Marijuana (it) is made legal for “so called “moderate” recreation”, or “social responsible use”. I suggest you sit tight - be patient, or “a patient”, until then “grow houses” are “greed houses”, AND are a GREAT cause for the criminal activity “in” our Communities; AND the escalating criminal activity our Communities, our families, our kids “are” exposed too”. AND in more cases than NOT, it graduates to better “stuff”!

We have enough to deal with, in that, what is already considered “accepted, as socially “acceptable”, lets not put it on the “back burner”, PLEASE.

Don’t add to the problem/s our Communities are already struggling with; as “weed” does get into the wrong hands, our kids for one!
AGAIN, the “TAINTED WEED”- (THC). I refer to or “refer” “THC”, as “The Happy Cruise”. “Cruising for a Bruising” (LITERALLY).

If you do your research, weed today has a substantial-greater amount of THC then decades ago AND it will only keep escalating in the sense of more and more “additives”. That is if We don’t get a “handle on it” or ‘Prevention”!

Remember the old saying: “THC makes you See”.
New Saying: “THC makes you Free”
(Free From Reality-”AKA” Burn Outs). Is that what you wish for our next generation, our kids?!!!!!!

If that’s what you want to see our next generation fall too, you need a reality check. Sorry!

I understand that “Medical Marijuana” is currently being tested for patients, such as those who suffer from MS or side effects from Chemo. If this is proven in the “Medical World” as a proven antidote, then o.k.

UNTIL REGULATION/D - DRAW THE LINE.

Why don’t we just have a “free for all” on everything? Our world, Our Communities, Our Country, would be more in a hole than what it currently is!
Why don’t We just drop a bomb and end the World!

Until then, “Grow Houses” are “Greed Houses”.

STICK TO THIS SUBJECT!! “Meth Labs”, “TAINTED” Marijuana” ANY “Drug Labs” are Trouble. Destroying our kids, families, Communities, Country!

One “hit” your addicted! One “strike”, a life is gone! As for, too many of our kids “get caught up” in “the” life and graduate to bigger and better hard core drugs! SUCH AS THIS ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The “mind” is a terrible “thing” to waste, Simon.

    Simon Says: ‘Zip Your Lip”
Simon Says: “Stick to the Subject-the Problem” …

You want to make a “Joke” of this problem our Communities, our Country is struggling with? I suggest you call the net-work, and find out if they can bring back “Star Search”. You’d win!
    Disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REGULATION - DRAW THE LINE!!!!!!!!!!!! RESPONSIBLE?!?!?!?!?!
    Substance Abuses Destroys (SAD)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
