I agree, the young girl was not doing anthing wrong, she is just being blamed because of her age! Nonsense, this was a sad accident that will leave that child scarred for a lifetime. Why was the women running into the traffic? This is tragic no matter how u look at it! God bless both.

Why would anyone blame this on the young lady driving, It could have happened to you. your driving along US1 and someone just walks out in front of you? There is no light there, She was jaywalking, Give this girl a break. Besides I am sure the Person walking was impaired and not paying very good attention to the cars that were coming. This poor young girl has to live with Killing someone.
There is a loss here on both sides. Quit blaming the driver.

Still in shock over this, a lively amazing lady is now gone leaving her family and loved ones behind to mourn, such a tragedy and 16yr olds definetly should NOT be driving at night if they cant pay attention to the damn road! RIP blue eyes, we’ll miss you forever and ever may you be at peace now finally with those you love up in heaven.

OMG this is such a sad & terrible story. I’m in shock and still can’t believe it’s true. I know Martha & her husband and children. Now a young Mom is gone way too soon and a husband has to live with loss of a wife and the children have know more Mom for the rest of their lives. So sad! My prayers go out to Marthas husband, children and family. Rest in peace my dear friend you are with the angels now. You will be missed very much. Gone way too soon! This girl who struck Martha is way too young and very unexperienced to be driving at 16 yrs of age!! Can’t handle a situation like this. Should not be able to obtain a license. Way too young!!

JimC did you go to the Obama school of not knowing any of the facts and state a stupid opinion. At 45 mph someone runs out in front of you, I’m sure you are a great enough driver to avoid it. Guessing you are a liberal and want to blame it on someone else instead of the unfortunate victim that ran out in front of the girl.

Maybe she wasn’t impaired or speeding- but she was certainly inattentive to what she was doing.
