A new place for lunch: MecaFresh Café opens in Stuart with ‘globally inspired’ menu
October 6th, 2009 by TCPalm.comSTUART — MecaFresh Café has opened for business at 4203 SE Federal Highway in Stuart, offering what the restaurant calls “a globally inspired” café menu.
MecaFresh will be hosting a ribbon cutting event with the Stuart Chamber of Commerce today at noon.
Customers may choose from handcrafted panini, salads, gourmet wraps, noodles and homemade soups, along with espresso creations, and beer and wine. MecaFresh offers eat-in, takeout and catering. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The operating entity of MecaFresh is Three Olives LLC out of Palm Harbor. Both regionally known for their culinary accomplishments, Chefs Robert Stea and Louis Venne founded the operation. Stea operated the nationally recognized “Blue Heron,” which was open for 18 years. Venne originally mastered his skills in Chicago’s prestigious “Vong” Restaurant. MecaFresh President Joe Timberlake joined Stea and Venne in 2007, offering corporate leadership and operational experience.
