Where is the man's family, and why haven't they taken away his keys and made arrangements for him? Even people with very early dementia are not safe drivers. I'm a nurse in a skilled nursing facility. We have family members visiting daily who are driving with dementia. We hold our breath when they pull in the parking lot, hoping they don't hit the other cars or people walking. We talk to their family members and they almost never want to do anything about the person driving. Between the drunk driving, texting while driving and demented driving, local roads are dangerous. Please, children of dementia patients, step up and take responsibility for your parents' safety and for the safety of innocent people who may be harmed! Yes, they will probably be mad at you for awhile but they'll get over it. Yes, it might be a big inconvenience for you and you might have to drive them around, just as they did when you were too young to drive. This man might be found dead in a ditch somewhere because no one cared enough to do anything about him getting in a car and driving.

I feel for the family and for Mr Bigelow, BUT why is a 93 year old man that suffers from dementia still behind the wheel of a car???
Hope they find him ok, and take his license away.
