Dear Mr. Burke, I am sorry if your readers feel that the DAWN Project is shrouded in secrecy; this is, most certainly, not our intent. As of this time of writing no formal commitment has been made to the school district. We were introduced to the district by Panasonic and hope that we will in due course be in a position to collaborate with them. The district has my contact information and I can be reached on (925)640-8683. We have no secrets and are more than happy to answer any questions from your readers. Sincerely, Charles Hall-Pinner

Matt,

It is too good to be true. I knew Mr. Pinner in the 70's and 80's and instead of the Dawn Project it was ComputerPals. Similar concept which linked students globally via donated computers. Sounded to good to be true except that project went bankrupt and Mr. Pinner stopped returning phone calls. The money came from investors but never got to the schools. I wonder where the money went!

Wow, this almost sounds too good to be true. Have any more specifics been divulged yet? I'm curious to know where the funding is coming from. The whole thing seems too far below the radar to be believable. I even googled Mr. Pinner and Mr. Snyder and they are almost invisible, and Dawn Project doesn't even have a website. Are you sure this is real? Thanks.
