October 2nd, 2009 by TCPalm.com

PALM CITY — One person died Friday following a rollover crash on Florida’s Turnpike, and a responding rescue vehicle also has been involved in a collision, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said.

The fatal rollover crash happened about 2:20 p.m. just north of the Palm City exit, Sgt. Jorge Delahoz said. The vehicle rolled over about 30 to 40 feet off the west shoulder and a rescue vehicle at the scene also was struck.

Southbound traffic is expected to experience delays as crews work to clear the accident scene. All southbound lanes at one point were shut down.

No one was in the rescue truck that was struck, Delahoz said.

Northbound traffic also was moving slowly.

No other information was immediately available.

It “seems” there’s not a day that goes by without reading of “another death/s”, related to “auto crash”. It’s seems to me, that’s all you see and read about.

It has become so consistent / prevalent, that unfortunately, Auto Accident’s and their “incidences” leading up to the accident “DESERVE THEIR OWN PERSONAL NEWSPAPER”.

I hope and pray this was not another accident that could have been prevented; such as teens DWI, DUI, “text messaging”, which should be “out-lawed” ASAP, as well as “talking on “a phone while driving; AND “HEFTY” consequences, if one does doesn’t comply.

My thoughts & prayers to the “survivors”.

My mother and father was the first people to get out of the car and try to revive the gentleman that died in this car accident. My mother was an ER nurse and tried everything she could to save this young man’s life. It’s every unfortunate that this had happened. It is unknown what caused the accident…I pray for this man and his fsmily.

My Son was the Firefighter that watched this man pass on….They tried all they could to save this man….My prayers are with the Family, as well as with my Son whom I consired a Hero…..Very sad….
