They threw away the chance to have a major upscale hotel and free parking garage 2 years ago that would have revitalized the downtown; but the powers-that-be wanted to keep their City Hall offices on the waterfront. Personally, I stopped going to the Ashley last year when my son threw up for 4 days after we had a lunch there.... The city of Stuart deserves what it gets. Two weeks ago we walked out after 25 minutes without being served even a glass of water. Never saw a manager... not once in any of our visits. Too bad they could have had a good thing.
