Mass. man charged with online sex chat in Martin County

STUART— A Massachusetts man who thought he was talking to a 14-year-old girl about sex over the Internet is now in the Martin County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

Ronald Duguay, 41, of New Bedford, Mass., was arrested on Sunday on charges of lewd exhibition using a computer and transmission of material harmful to a minor, according to a Martin County sheriff’s report.

Duguay started talking to a 14-year-old girl in June using the Yahoo Messenger chat program, according to the report, but the girl was really an undercover Martin County sheriff’s deputy. Duguay asked her sexual questions and sent naked pictures of himself to her.

Duguay was brought back down to Martin County and is being held on $170,000 bond, according to the report.
