Port St. Lucie mom accused of forcing teen daughter to drive her to buy cocaine, pills
August 14th, 2009 by TCPalm.comFORT PIERCE — A woman was arrested after a tip to sheriff’s investigators that she was “forcing” her unlicensed 17-year-old daughter to drive her to buy drugs, according to a recently released affidavit.
A sheriff’s deputy who got behind the vehicle, a tan Ford van, on Wednesday as it traveled along U.S. 1, said he spied a clear plastic bag being thrown from the passenger window.
One deputy stopped the van while another retrieved the bag, which contained cocaine and Roxycodone pills.
Front seat passenger Sandra St. Andre, 37, said she threw pills out of the van.
St. Andre, of the 1900 block of Southeast Easterbrook Street in Port St. Lucie, said she bought the pills and cocaine near the area where she tossed them from the vehicle.
The driver of the van was issued a citation for driving without a license, deputies said.
St. Andre was arrested on charges including possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of cocaine, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, allowing an unauthorized person to operate a motor vehicle and two counts of tampering with evidence,
St. Andre was released Thursday from the St. Lucie County jail on $15,750 bail, a jail official said.

I just love to read about how far some people will go to get there fix, also i dont see how ther can even be a bond on something like that. They should also add child indangerment charges as well. What kind of ‘Mother’ could make there own child do such an awfal thing.

I agree, that poor excuse for a mom should be charged with child endangerment. Sadly, the justice system does allow bond for these types of crimes. Hopefully the State Attorney won’t just do ANOTHER plea deal to just hurry up and clear the case load.

if she is a first time offender, she will get a light probation sentence. dont forget, a $15k bond means she only had to come up with $1500, not to steep,
