PALM CITY — A senior member of Martin County Fire Rescue died today in a crash on SW 96th Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lt. Daron “Trent” Gallimore, 51, was driving north on the two-lane road at about 2:30 a.m. when it appears he ran off the road and onto the eastern shoulder. He then over-corrected, sending his 2008 pick-up truck off the west side of the road and into a tree, according to the police report. He died at the scene.
Gallimore was employed with Martin County Fire Rescue for nearly 25 years.

Hopefully they will not say he died working. That would be fraud.

Hey, Frank, responding to news of someone’s death with your neocon-flavored comment about government fraud…what a douche-bag you must be…
July 20th, 2009 at 8:55 am
My prayers are with his family and co-workers.
July 20th, 2009 at 9:01 am
Wow Frank is an asshole
July 20th, 2009 at 9:30 am
Don’t get all upset. 2am? probably drunk. You should be happy he didn’t kill anyone.
July 20th, 2009 at 9:35 am
My deepest condolences for your loss.
July 20th, 2009 at 9:49 am
Frank - You are an inconsiderate heartless jerk off!!! You should be ashamed of yourself for assuming this man was drunk! He has a family and they do not need to hear the stupidity that comes from idiots like you!
July 20th, 2009 at 9:55 am
You know, Frank, you need to get some humanity about you! There is a grieving family probably reading your nonsense comments. I do pity your family having someone like you who has no compassion!
July 20th, 2009 at 9:57 am
Frank - I think you shouldn’t run your mouth before you know what really happened… How would you feel if this was one of your loved ones and people were talking about them like this. There is no reason to assume that just because someone is driving at 2am it means they are drunk. I don’t drink and yet more times than not am going home at 2am or later.

Trent, You are in our prayers.
To the Gillimore family, you are in our hearts and prayers, Ben and I have known Trent since he was hired with Martin County. Trent was one of a kind

Just ask a cop.Chances are that people are drunk at that time.
July 20th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
Ya know what Frank? Many weekends I babysit until after 2AM. I am then driving home after 2Am. It does not mean that I am drunk. It means that I worked late. You have no compassion. Maybe someday something like could happen to your family. Then what? How would you feel then, Frank? Life is not a guarantee and we need to be grateful for the moments we are given, instead of passing judgment!!!

All you people ripping Frank better wait a minute. When that FF killed his buddy in the boat you all were defending him the same way. Then you did not hear another word when it turned out they were both drunk. FF’s are people too, if this story was about Joe Blow half of you would be sittin around saying (He was Probably Drunk).

To Frank: Although we know you are not writing out of concern for our family and our current time of loss what you say is very hurtful. He is a loved one and will truly be missed. I hope that one day when you are gone, you are the kind of person that your loved ones will miss. Hopefully, you will never have to experience the tragedy of having someone arrive at your door and tell you that a loved one has been killed in an accident.

To Frank and Frank’s Momma:
You dishonor my family and my loved one by saying that he was drunk. You do not know him at all. He was a kind and loving man. I will repeat what concerned girl said ” hopefully when you are gone, you will be the kind od person that your loved ones will miss.” You need to shut your mouth until you know the facts.

I guess little boy Frank and his mommy have nothing more to say, especially since he needs his “mommy” to defend him.
July 20th, 2009 at 3:44 pm
To Franks mom: Trent Gallimore was not the man on the boat. He also did not kill anybody. Are you saying you have never been out past 2 in the morning. If you haven’t then you obviously have no life.

Frank:
BTW I am a female. You are the lowest form of slime. And if that is the worst comeback that you can come up with, than I feel sorry for you. You are obviously so miserable that you lash out at others in their pain. I forgive you. Have a nice life, that is if you can escape your depression long enough to. I will pray for you. Maybe someday you will have enough compassion to understand the death of a loved one.
July 20th, 2009 at 4:59 pm
To Frank:
I will not even address anything else that you say because it is not worth it to me to fight slime like you.

Frank and his “Momma”. You should just hope that you never are caught in a building with a blazing fire. Fate might just come back to bite you in the butt.
