Police: Port St. Lucie teen shoots mother’s buttocks with BB gun

June 18th, 2009 by Ana X. Ceron

PORT ST. LUCIE — A 15-year-old teen faces a charge of aggravated battery for shooting a BB gun at his mother’s backside.

The teen’s mother told police she and boy were arguing Wednesday afternoon when he cursed at her. In an effort to discipline him, the mother struck him twice in his arm, she and boy said. Then the boy shot her with the BB gun, he told police.

Neither the teen or his mother requested medical treatment.

Police said they have had to show up at the family’s home on Aires Lane several times in the past because the boy, who is on probation, is unruly and disrespects his family. Earlier that afternoon, the teen punched a flat-screen television during an earlier argument, the mother said.

The boy was arrested on a second-degree felony charge.

can we say… boarding school! What is wrong with these parents who let there kids take over their lives. Thats crazy. Take control of your children and stop having the police do everything for you!

Sounds like this kid has anger issues. It is sad when you have to worry about your own kids coming after you. It also sounds like maybe the kid needs some meds.

Christy what are you saying here? It is beacause of society and the COPS the reason why we can’t disipline our children. Growing up I don’t remember kids disrespecting their parents the way they do today, back then parents didn’t think twice before spanking and getting the respect deserved. Who’s fault is that you say??? The Parents I think not. If my child acts up and I need to spank him or hold him by the arm, I am unable to or think twice if I am outdoors because of morons thinking it’s abuse. Punching the lights out of a child and bruising a child is ABUSE. Spanking is not, we are not allowed to discipline the way we should be allowed. We are not bad parents, the law doesn’t back us up so who else are we to turn to when they do get out of control if not the cops? And boarding school?? People can’t afford food on the table but have thousands to send their kinds off to get disciplined somewhere else? What world are you living in?

I adore the airsoft light machine guns, my favourite could be the MG-42. Nevertheless with 2 little ones and a bank loan i must settle for my SRC AK-74. Not quite the equivalent but nevertheless entertaining as heck! Someday I will have one although, perhaps even a mini gun, if i win the lotto!
