« Firefighters arrested for growing pot Tuesday no longer work for district today

A St. Lucie County firefighter is expected to be suspended from his post after he was arrested this morning on charges of cultivating marijuana out of a warehouse in western Martin County. Herman Michael Gonzalez, a nine-year veteran of the St. Lucie County Fire District, was arrested outside the commercial warehouse where, Martin County Sheriff’s investigators say, roughly 80 marijuana plants were growing
