The body of a missing Hutchinson Island resident was found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway near her home, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.

Delores Whiteman Brink, 85, had been reported missing earlier in the day by family members. A neighbor in the Holiday Out community in the 10000 block of South Ocean Drive where Brink lived found her body floating in the Intracoastal Waterway around 5:30 p.m., according to a sheriff’s report.

Detectives are investigating tonight but there is no evidence of foul play in her death, according to the report.
