Pedestrian killed last night in Stuart identified
January 22nd, 2009 by Post StaffA man who was struck and killed Wednesday night while trying to run across a busy Martin County roadway has been identified as Michael Burdeau, 43, of Stuart.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Burdeau was running across Monterey Road near the Martin County Jail, at 800 S.E. Monterey Road between Kanner Highway and U.S. 1, around 7:30 p.m. when he walked into the path of a Toyota heading west in an inside lane. He died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, Carmello Callari, 43, and passenger Judith Callari, 46, suffered minor injuries, and passenger Emily Callari, 11, was unhurt, the report said.

Mikey, I know your in heaven, watching over all of us!! You were a big part in my life!! I miss and love you dearly!! I will be your Sister in law!! Wish you were still here on earth to spend life with us, I know Jesus called you home and He needed you!! We had some great times together, I am very happy that we got to know each other in this world!! I will see you in the next world in heaven!!
