Man accused of firing at PSL house
January 14th, 2009 by Ana X. CeronPORT ST. LUCIE — Police arrested a man who allegedly fired shots in his back yard, striking a house where a couple and a toddler were inside.
No one was injured in the incident, police spokesman Officer Thomas Nichols said.
Robert B. Miller, 36, was outside his home in the 1600 block of Southwest Cameo Boulevard on Tuesday night and fired six rounds from a handgun, Nichols said. Four of the shots hit the family’s house, according to police, who were called to Cameo at about 10:30 p.m.
When police searched Miller’s house, they said they found a 9 mm handgun, 92 rounds of ammunition and 44 grams of marijuana.
Miller faces charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling, marijuana possession and criminal mischief.
