STUART — A confrontation outside a bar ended up in two arrests Thursday night.
Nathaniel Spiliotis and Brian Williams, both 27 and of Stuart, were involved in a heated argument when 55-year-old Ricky Watson came outside after being forced to leave Coconut Bar in Stuart, Martin County sheriff’s deputies say.
Stephen English, an employee at Coconut Bar, told a deputy that Watson was kicked out of the club after inappropriately touching a female on the lower back.
According to English, 29, as he attempted to escort Watson out through the back door, Watson grabbed him by the throat and shoved him. English and others then escorted out Watson, English told deputies.
After leaving the bar, Watson noticed the fight between Spiliotis and Williams and then proceeded to fight Williams, according to a sheriff’s report.
Williams sustained a large cut to the right side of his head and a wound to his left knee.
Watson faces three misdemeanor battery charges, and a disorderly intoxication offense. Spiliotis faces a misdemeanor battery charge.
