PSL police: Man hit woman after she refused to have sex

November 30th, 2008 by TCPalm.com

A 32-year-old Port St. Lucie man is in St. Lucie County Jail after being suspected of hitting a woman who refused to have sex with him.

Police on Friday charged Honary V. Lamb, of the 700 block of Northwest Grenada Street, with felony domestic battery by strangulation and felony depriving a victim of 911 and misdemeanor simple battery after they received a call for help about 3:30 a.m. Friday.

The woman said Lamb wanted to have sex with her but she told him no and he became angry and slapped her in the face and pushed her into the bedroom wall, the arrest report states.

Next, Lamb got on top of the woman and put his hands around her neck, choking her, according to a police report.

However, Lamb denied hitting the woman and said he was in bed with her when the two began to argue and she started hitting him in the head. Next, Lamb said he pushed the woman to restrain her and that he threw her cell phone against the wall because she had thrown his.

Police noticed the woman had a swollen and bleeding lip, a swollen cheek and a scrape on her right jaw line, and red marks on the left side of her neck, according to the arrest report.
