Bible-reading Marathon in Stuart begins Wednesday
November 18th, 2008 by Daphne DuretSTUART— Genesis is at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Revelation is scheduled, for now at least, for noon Sunday.
But at all points between the two, organizers of Martin County’s 8th Annual Bible-Reading Marathon are inviting people of all ages to sign up for 15-minute sessions as part of a group effort to read the Good Book from start to finish.
This year’s marathon will be held at Memorial Park’s band shell on Ocean Blvd.
Readers will each sign up for continuous 15 minute segments through Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
At the end of the reading of Revelation, around 1 p.m. Sunday, organizers will hold a special Thanksgiving dinner for participators and members of the public.
For more information, or to sign up to read, please call Pastor Donna or Gene Heaton at 772-285-7007.
