Five stabbed in fight outside football game

November 15th, 2008 by Post Staff

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office now says that five teenage girls were stabbed by a teenage girl during the melee after a football game at Martin County High School.

None of the injuries are considered life threatening. Deputies are still looking for the girl wanted in connection with the stabbings.

The sheriff’s office says one person was Tasered by a sheriff’s deputy, one person was bitten by a police dog and one woman was arrested in the series of unrelated fights that involved about 30 people outside at the school, sheriff’s deputies said.

The girls, whose names were not released, were stabbed near the main entrance of Martin County High School around 9:30 p.m. after the end of the game between Martin County High School and South Fork High School, said Martin County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rhonda Irons.

One girl was stabbed in the leg, another in shoulder, another in the right forearm and the fourth in the right hand, she said. They were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Most of the people involved in the incidents were involved in the fight where the four teens were stabbed, Irons said. It was sparked by a prior rivalry she said, though she could not elaborate on the nature of the rivalry and whether any of the girls were students of either school.
Deputies used a Taser to subdue one person involved in that fight.

Deputies called to the scene also encountered an unrelated fight between a man and a woman. A K-9 dog bit one of the people involved in that fight. Another woman, whose identity has not been released, was arrested after a third unrelated fight outside the football game, Irons said.

Deputies are looking for a fifth teenage girl whom deputies believe stabbed the other four girls, Irons said.

I guess living the ghetto lifestyle has it’s downside. It is a shame these kids won’t know the simple joy of attending their schools football game. They are too busy being thugs. So much has been lost.

  3. turnoffrap Says:

Parents. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Turn off the rap music that is about drugs, death and sexual innuendos. MONITOR what’s going on with your kids.

  4. Popcop45 Says:

I can not agree more with exnjcop and turnoffrap. Parents these days are seem non-existant in the lives of their teen children. And yes, I will admit the fear of arrest for spanking your children was the root to most of the decay of today’s youth. But also nowadays it seems every white kid wants to act black (thank television for that one) and of coarse we all know (weather it’s politically correct or not it is the truth) unfortunately black youth are not the best role models out there. Hence the current character of today’s youth.

  5. JohnP Says:

Look around the next time you go out as an adult, I live in abacoa and going out to the local resturants on Main St. there are so many young kids hanging around all dressed for the next rap video. Ever since they have bussed people to schools from rivera beach (Bad part of Town) Break ins have gone up significantly. once these low class individuals come to your town see what you have they will steal. Now violence is starting to become the popular thing to do… Stabbings?? in Stuart??? We all want to be equals… but there is a reason why we move to areas with nice schools and low crime, what ever you do never vote to have kids from unfortunate areas bussed in to your kids schools

  6. Chris Says:

Yeah, you guys are right…it’s the rap music! Take my son for instance, he attends STANFORD (3rd year) and listens to rap music everyday. I’ve had one graduate from UTEP and one grad from COLORADO ST while listening to rap. My daughter is on track to also attend STANFORD next year, as she currently carries a weighted 4.2 GPA and had a near perfect SAT score, which she attained that score on a saturday morning in the spring. Did I mention that she listened to rap on the way to take the test and on the way home when I picked her up?

So does Lil Wayne deserve the credit for helping her with the test? Or would he just shoulder the blame if she did bad? You guys need to get a clue!

  7. JohnP Says:

She might bring Lil wayne home oneday

  8. LadyJay Says:

TO THE YOUNG LADIES THAT WERE INVOLVED IN THE SERIOUS INCIDENT. I THANK GOD THAT YOU ALL ARE STILL LIVING. YOU KNOW I WOULDN’T SAY THAT IT ONLY THE RAP MUSIC, VIDEOS, AND T.V. ALONE, BUT I KNOW THAT EVERY ONE HAS THEIR OWN RELIGIOUS PREFERENCE. BUT GUYS THE BIBLE IS FULFILLING IT SELF EVERYDAY. GODS WORD CANNOT LIE AND IF WE DON’T GET OUR LIFE RIGHT WITH GOD THEN WE TOO WILL MISS THE MARK. TO EVERYONE LETS PULL TOGETHER AS ONE AND TAKE BACK WHAT THE DEVIL HAS STOLE FROM US……I LOVE YOU ALL AND BE BLESSED….

  9. JohnP Says:

Only once the drugs are done
Den I feel like dying, I feel like dying

I am sittin on the clouds
I got smoke coming from my seats
I can play basketball with the moon
I got the whole world at my feet
Playin` touch football on Marijuana Street
Or in a marijuana field, you are so beneath my cleats
Get high, so high that I feel like lying
Down in a cigar, roll me up & smoke me cuz
    (I feel like dying)

    {Chorus}

Swimming laps around a bottle of Louie The 13th
Jumping off of a mountain into a sea of Codeine

I`m at the top of the top but still I climb
And if I shall ever fall the ground will then turn to wine
Pop, Pop, I feel like flying, then I feel like frying, then
    (I feel like dying)

    {Chorus}

I can mingle with the stars & throw a party on Mars
I am a prisoner locked up behind Xanax bars
I have just boarded a plane without a pilot
And violets are blue, roses are red
Daisies are yellow, the flowers are dead
Wish I can give you this feeling
    I feel like buying
And if my dealer don`t have no more, then
    (I feel like dying)

There You GO CHRIS Lyrics from LiL Wayne, Maybe he doesn’t get the credit, credit goes to the sea of Codeine… Check your medicine cabinet

  10. Lou3 Says:

    JohnP….Now that is funny! ;-)

  11. Chris Says:

    Ooh…wow! That’s a shocker! He said that?

And the words from Lil Wayne are irrelevant how? I never asked for a synopsis on what he has to say! And whatever he has to say, it ain’t worse than Arnold Schwarzenegger shooting up hundreds of people in a Terminator movie. Which is worse, Li Wayne’s talking, or Schwarzenegger visuals of shooting people? Yet he’s governor!

Maybe your daughter will bring Arnie home, he’s an adulterer anyhow. He can have her on the side. He also comes from a family that was part of the Nazi party. But he’s just what your daughter and the rest of America needs. He’s a perfect role model!

    You’re right, it’s the rap!

  12. Chris Says:

    FROM THE FRONT PAGE:

PALM BEACH — Police have recommended that a Palm Beach restaurant owner be charged with corruptly influencing voting.

Patricia Gatti, who admitted to writing “KKK” on the timecards of black employees at 264 The Grill, as well as posting “KKK” and “white power” notes in the back of the restaurant, threatened to fire 57-year-old cook Raymonde Prudent if she did not vote for John McCain and then Barack Obama went on to win the presidential election, according to the police report.

Prudent also told police that Gatti threatened to fire all of the black kitchen employees if Obama won.

Gatti told The Palm Beach Post last week that she wrote “KKK” but denied that she had tried to influence voting or had threatened to fire employees.

Her attorney, outgoing Palm Beach County Commissioner Bob Kanjian, expects the state attorney’s office to decide Monday whether to go forward with the corruptly influencing voting charge. He does not believe there’s enough evidence to charge Gatti with the rarely used statute, a third-degree felony.

Prudent said that Gatti threatened to fire her on the night of the election, after the polls had closed, if she did not vote for McCain.

While Kanjian does not believe the conversation took place, even if it had, he said, it’s not possible to influence voting after a vote already has been cast.

“It’s rather unusual for anyone to be charged with this violation anywhere in the state of Florida,” Kanjian said. “Even if it’s all absolutely true, since Ms. Prudent has already voted, you can’t influence somebody who already voted.”

Kanjian noted that Gatti’s co-owner at 264 The Grill, Avery Watson, is black.

“I don’t know of another restaurant in the town of Palm Beach that has an African-American owner and a white owner,” Kanjian said.

“It’s disappointing because Ms. Gatti is not a racist,” he said. “She certainly used terminology that I would not think is proper and that many of us would not think is proper, but she did this in the context of private communications. It was a couple of friends going back and forth, and it was taken way out of context.”

YOU’RE RIGHT, THAT LADY WAS LISTENING TO LIL WAYNE WHEN SHE DECIDED TO DO SOME DUMB RACIST $H!T LIKE THAT!!! IT WAS FROM A SONG CALLED “WE WHITE PEOPLE CAN’T GET OVER THE FACT THAT OBAMA WON”!

ALL YOU GOTTA DO NOW IS LOOK ON-LINE AND FND THE LYRICS!!!

  13. Tom Says:

Chris, you compound the issue of your argument with JohnP and turnoffrap by saying something just as ignorant as what they said. What the hell does Barack Obamas win have to do with peoples discontent for rap music. The election proved that one of the races has come a long way in regards to their race relatinos. 57 percent of caucasion voters went the way of Obama, 93 percent of the african american vote went his way….now who do you think really voted on skin color? Fact of the matter is, what can be said about raps influence on kids today could have also been said about hard rocks influence on the kids in the 80’s. Either way, both genres SUCK…this is about a lack of guidance (and in some cases even a presence) on the parts of the parents. No moral compass, no lessons of discipline and respect. Just one more argument for testing of people before they are allowed to procreate.

  14. sabrina Says:

First of all i dont blame the parents because by high school level you have developed a mind of your own, and if you choose to be a delinquent then by all means. Stop pointing fingures at everything and everyone. Rap music has nothing to do with making bad decisions, its a choice they choose to make and a life they choose to live. There are various excuses one will use as to why things are the way they are. And im tired of it always being so stereotypical.Stop pointing fingers isn’t going to rectify the situation. Get to the root of the issue point blank.

  15. Tom Says:

Root of the issue…..lack of guidance growing up. IE.. no positive authority figure in their lives to foster the proper morals and consequence recognition to assist them in making good decisions later on in life. You can walk a horse to water, but you cant make him drink may be true…however you have to at least show that horse where that water is and how it will quench his thirst. If the horse doesnt want it then, you may have a retarded horse.

  16. Chris Says:

    Tom,

How studpid do you sound now?

First of all, if you read the article (provided you know how to read) you’d know what Barack’s win has to do with what I said, and why I brought it up.

Secondly, talk about compounding issues…what does race relations and who’s came a long way have anything to do with anything being said here, since you appear to be a “wanna stick to the subject kinda guy”? Just wanted to get that little factoid off your chest? Last time I checked, blacks have always voted strongly for the Dems, should something have changed with this election to appease white folks? Last time I checked, whites have always been split down the middle of their party lines. Just like the #s you provided indicate. Since you are into #s, this election had the highest percentage of Dems. who’ve voted Repubs. Now what does that tell you about the “tremendous” strides that white people are making? Since you are obviously looking for the proverbial “pat on the back”? You can manipulate #s and make them look anyway you want to.

Thirdly, your last sentence proves just how ignorant you are and what you’re all about!

    Sabrina,

You got it right! It’s about “parenting” (or lack thereof)! This is why young people do the things that they do. They just wanna be stereotypical in their views and the fact that the Lil Waynes of the world can make money doing what they do, certain people become jealous. Why not pick on Marilyn Manson? Naw, it’s those dang rappers! Music isn’t a good enough excuse to act a total @$$ in my household. But when you got parents suing groups like Megadeath and other rockers for their child’s behavior, you see who’s really making the excuses.

  17. Tom Says:

    Chris

I dont need a pat on the back, I sleep well at night.

Im pretty sure you dont know what your point is. If you could read, i was actually validating your view regarding music. I validated that by stating that the real issue is with the lack of guidance in the childrens lives, not the music. What you are also stating is that the attacks on artist is strictly a racial attack. Not true. You specifically brought up Marilyn Manson. After the Columbine slaughter, he was attacked in the public for having a direct connection between his music and the kids who listened to it commiting the acts that day. The attacks were so bad, that he had actualy canceled some of his shows. Nobody has attacked the rockers huh? (You once again need to re-read my comments, because i addressed them too!) AC/DC, Judas Priest (and i can name more) were attacked in the late 80’s early 90’s for their lyrical content and its direct connection between the kids who listened to it and their unruly behavior.

Once again, what does his win have to do with rap music? Are you insinsuating that JohnP and turnoffrap are making their statement because its a music genre that is made primarily by african americans? Maybe. Racism still exists. Your broad generalization about white people not getting over an Obama win was just a careless and ignorant as john and turnoff’s statements and that is MY point.

If your going to try to win an argument about numbers, keep in mind, I targeted the races, you targeted the parties. What more dems voting repub tells me is that they realize that their candidate was not qualified nor ready to hold the office of president. But im sure your going to tell me they were all white and didnt vote with the dem party becaue they are racist. Though minorities has traditionally voted dem, you cannot begin to tell me that there are more white voters who didnt vote for Obama because he is black than there are more black voters that voted for Obama because he is black. But im sure that the voters that have not voted before, came out of the woodwork and voted this election because they were so concerned about the direction of this country.

  18. Paul Says:

Multiculturalism is a great thing isn’t it. Please give me one location that is predominantly blacks or hispanic that is a safe area and a great place to live. Why is it that ALL areas where blacks congregate are unsafe and disgusting? If someone knows a black area that is safe please let me know cause I don’t know any.

  19. Tiffany Sloan Says:

I am a 26 year old younG lady, and now a mother of two of my own 9 and 5 years of age and I also have taken care of my younger sis 17 and bro who is now 18 years of age. I have been taking care of my younger sis and bro due to the lack of responsibilitys that our parents fail to meet. I have been on my own since I was 15 years old. I have seen it all but god bless me to get out of the street life. Most of us as kids dont have much of a choice nor do we have morals and respect for ourself. That is because our parents are not teaching it to us as children. I cant belive what I have read on this page its really sad and I must say (IGNORANT’S) as a parent I now understand that no matter what you teach your child in their childhood YEARS if you dont teach them respect and set morals you are waisting your time! ( ANY WOMAN CAN GIVE BIRTH TO A CHILD AND ANY MAN CANT BE A DAD, IT TAKE A REAL MOTHER TO TEACH , AND A REAL FATHER TO TEACH) WHEN I WOULD HANG OUT IN THE CLUBS I WOULD SEE MOTHERS, FATHERS, AND TEACHERS IN THE CLUBS HOW CAN YOU TEACH WHEN YOU HAVENT LEARNED THE MORALS OF LIFE YOURSELF! WHAT IS A GHETTO LIFE STYLE WE CANT HELP OUR UP BRINGING NOR CAN WE TAKE THE BLAM FOR WHAT OUR PARENTS THOUGH WAS A GOOD LIFE STLYE, RAP MUSIC TO SOME POINT I WILL AGREE THAT SOME OF THE WORDS AND THINGS THEY ARE RAPPING ABOUT IS A LITTLE TO MUCH WHEN MY SONS ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT IS BEING SAID I TELL HIM THE TRUTH AND I MAKE SURE HE UNDERSTANDS RIGHT FROM WRONG, AND ALL OF THE OTHER THINGS YOU ALL ARE POINTING AT OPEN YOUR EYES ITS NO POSITIVE AUTHORITY FIGUER IN OUR CHILDREN LIVES, NOR IN OUR COMMUNITY. I AM WORKING TO MAKE A DIFFERECE IN MY COMMUNITY HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERECE ARE YOU MAKING BECAUSE READING A NEWS PAPPER AND LEAVING COMENTS ISNT GOING TO DO THE JOB. I MAY HAVE MISS SPELLED SOME WORDS IF I DID I AM SORRY BUT YOU ALL GET THE PIC!

  20. Paul G. Says:

    Tom,

You are the typical, ignorant, racist white guy thst mskes up the majority of this country unfortunetly.

And this is coming from a white guy!

  21. Ash Says:

Paul.. You racist son of a … I cant believe you had the nerve to say that, I feel no need to respond to it, you make yourself sound dumb and ignorant enough.

  22. cr Says:

I cannot believe the “smart” people that think this asult is due to gang violence, and it’s because these girls listen to rap music. martin county, is primary white people, white collared idiots that think money talks. these girls think there bad a$$ because they have money. sorry rap music is not the problem. it’s parents that spoil there kids and let them get away with such acts. I bet the mothers of the girls who did the stabbing thinks shes a victim right now. bohoo

  23. John Taurus Says:

This is what happens when negros congregate in great numbers. Black night clubs??? Shootings and Stabbings. Grand opening and grand closing in the same week.

TNB….typical negro behavior. Truth used to be held in the highest esteem. Now, truth is edited and censored but it is still the truth. Changing values…changing from civilized to uncivilized.

  24. PJ Says:

    Hey Chris,
When your daughter comes home from STANFORD with a chocolate baby named Sheniqua, you won’t be so enthusiastic about the rap music. Wurd to ya mutha! Peace out!

  25. bustathug Says:

check PBSO,or FBI crime stats to verify the the race of most criminal vs the population %. It is an eye opener!

  26. Malcom X Says:

lol hey chris, news flash, your black president of the united states listens to rap music!!!!! haha gotta love it!!!

  27. Malcom X Says:

my bad chris, that was for pj!

  28. Malcom X Says:

Hey paul, after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans we see how much they give ah damn about predominantly black areas any ways. its hard for the poverty stricken areas to upgrade when the government refuses to help out. but yet your former president Bush would rather spend an abundance of money fighting wars and searching for nuclear weapons that dont exist. (How stupid!). And u wanna throw out stats against my black people, well check this out, 53% of lawyers today are black males (35% black females), 45% of doctors are black males (25% black females), and 68% of educators are black, from the grade school level all the way to the prestigious universities! Affirmative action my friend! (PS, just to let u know, its a proven study that blacks receive a more stringent sentence for the same crime committed by whites. so dont for once sit here and think blacks commit all the crimes. Just another obstacle we gotta endeavor through in this racist world)!

  29. JohnP Says:

Why Are we still talking politics?? I thought we were talking about how low class people can’t raise children, causing them to be violent and somehow the public school systems mix these class of people with middle class. Moral of the story is Private school. I guess you could look at Obama’s plan for Charter Schools is that is what will make you guys happy.

  30. Grandmother Says:

Somehow this whole situation got lost in a bunch of racial comments. The important thing is that the identity of the suspect is being kept from the public. If her name and photo were released, someone could spot her and notify the MCSO as to her whereabouts. I feel bad for the football teams from MCHS and South Fork. They’ve worked hard for months but now the talk is all about the stabbings instead of the game. The people involved don’t attend either school so it needs to be kept clear it’s not students that did this. My granddaughter attends MCHS and I am outraged at the lack of information being disclosed by the MCSO and the media.

  31. TruKnowledge Says:

One thing must be made clear if u be talkin down on my beutiful black people. My son went to Harvar5d an he listened to rap every day. He also listened to rap during his exams. He was the top of the class and he just bought Dollar rent a car. Plus he is next in line to be an astronaut. (black men invented the spaceship). Plus my black daughter went to Yale and got a 4.9 average simply by listening to gangster rap. Top that white people. Also 53% of lawyers today are black males (35% black females). That means 86% of all lawyers are black 4 u white people that cant handle math. Plus Obama listens to gangster rap like Bruce Springsteen. Sigh…white people.

  32. Steven Jenkins Says:

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

  33. Jaren Wooten Says:

lil wayne was gangsta back den. now hes a lazy bum!
